Pregnancy

From the time of booking I am available for support by call, text and email until 6 weeks postpartum. We’ll meet at least once in pregnancy to discuss birth wishes and coping techniques.

Birth

In labor you’ll call me to let me know when you’re in need of my support. I am your constant support and advocate all through your birth. I will stay with you until after your baby is born.

Immediate Postpartum

After your baby is born I stay close by to support you through the birth of the placenta, and help you get the first latch if your plan is to breastfeed. I leave when you and baby are snuggled in together and ready for family time.

2 Postpartum Visits

I’ll come visit once in the days soon after birth, and again in the weeks to follow. This is where I can help you navigate breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and all things newborn. I’ll hold space for you to process your birth story, and set you up with resources in your community so you can thrive in your role as parents.

“What does a day with my postpartum doula look like?”

When you hire me to be your postpartum doula I enter into your home and blend into the background. I make sure to know what your top priorities are for the day, but otherwise use my keen instinct to see what needs to be done and accomplished during my time. I will always prioritize your rest and nourishment. I do light house keeping like laundry, straightening, and dishes. I care for the baby and you. I can help with older children, meal prep, watering your plants, and emotional support in the tender moments of postpartum, helping you find your way through those early weeks that feel like just. too. much. You’ll often find me wearing the baby in a wrap while I fold laundry and help you process birth, postpartum and your fluctuating emotions. I’m like a nonjudgmental grandma with no agenda, who makes you snacks and tucks you in while telling you what a good job you’re doing.
